How to arrive at Foggia:

By Plane:	The closest airport is in Bari , from Bari Airport there is a shuttle and Taxi service to the train station where you can take the train to Foggia. If you fly to Roma than you can get the train to Foggia from the Roma Termini train station. If you fly to Napoli you can take the bus CLP from the main square in front of the train station.
By Train:	Foggia's train station is connected with the most important italian cities, from Rome it takes about 3h 30m, from Bari about 1h, if you arrive from Napoli we suggest you to take the bus CLP, it takes about 2h30m.
By Car:	You can find complete maps in Mappy.

Gargano promontory

From a biological point of view, the Gargano promontory is actually an island, divided from the peninsula by the Tavoliere delle Puglie. It is rich in karst structures like caves and dolines. While in the past the promontory was entirely covered by forests, now they constitute only the 15 percent of its surface: the most important wood in the Park is the Foresta Umbra.
